The Providence Experience

What is the Providence Experience?

The Providence Experience is an opportunity to grow in mind
and spirit, serve Christ by serving others, stretch one's abilities,
and learn new skills. You decide what activities your group
will do. Part of the day can be spent at a one or more work
sites or historical landmarks and the rest spent playing at
camp or site-seeing. It is possible to provide a new
experience each day. Rhode Island Conference staff can
provide you with a list of misson work contacts.

Where will you stay?

Use the lodge at Irons Homestead Camp and Conference Center as a base of operations. Bring your own food, cooks, chaperones, activities, supplies and a great attitude. Spend the week volunteering and playing. Located at 688 Snake Hill Road Glocester, Rhode Island, Irons Homestead is approximately 30 minutes from Providence, RI., 45 minutes from Boston, MA., 3½ hours from New York City, NY., and a 1 hour drive from Newport, RI or Cape Cod, MA beaches.  More about Irons Homestead
